After years of serving the west coast with EMC facilities in Washington, Oregon and California, Northwest EMC is expanding into the Midwest. The facility will be equipped with the latest EMC and EMI test equipment, including a full 10m test chamber and Northwest EMC’s proprietary software, which increases accuracy and decreases testing time.
“This expansion will help us to better serve the wireless, consumer electronics and medical device markets, and gives us a face-to-face presence with our clients in the Midwest. Our loyal Midwest clients have been commenting for years that they wish we were closer, so we finally decided to come to them. I am extremely excited the opportunity to serve this market,” said Dean Ghizzone, President of Northwest EMC.

Northwest EMC is excited to participate in making our community a better place. This year, the Oregon division of Northwest EMC has raised donations for a Basic Needs Drive to benefit Outside In. Outside In supports homeless and low-income youth, many of whom are escaping domestic violence, sexual abuse, neglect or rejection by their families. In additions, donations were provided to Neighborhood House, an organization that provides resources and support to low-income Portland residents to help stimulate economic independence, and donations were provided to Rick Lipinski for a non-profit garage sale to raise money for a new animal shelter in Newberg, Oregon.
Northwest EMC sponsored our first ever Red Cross Blood Drive in Hillsboro, Oregon! By reaching out to surrounding businesses and gathering volunteers within, we were able to collect 26 pints for the Red Cross, a collection percentage of 124% on the goal set by the Red Cross. With our help, the Red Cross will be able to support many local hospitals with life saving blood.
Northwest EMC is proud to be an active and caring community member!

Amendment A2:2005 to EN 61000-3-2:2000 will be mandatory on January 1, 2008. This requires measurements in compliance with the latest version of EN 61000-4-7. Unfortunately, the test equipment presently meeting the older versions of the standard will not meet the new requirements.
As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we have purchased new flicker and harmonics test equipment for all of our test labs. Our brand new Voltech PM6000 units are capable of testing to the new Standards.
In order to remain in compliance, all units previously tested for harmonics that are to remain on the market will need to be re-tested by the end of 2007. Please call us at 888-364-2378 to schedule a test or determine if your units require additional testing.
