Q3. Is there any requirement for a report to be signed by the substitute of the laboratory’s authorized person?
A3. The word “ for †should follow the signature of the substitute, and the original accredited person’s name should be printed out near the signature.
Q4. How to judge whether a motherboard or an add-on card can be applied for Class A? (_According the previous technical meeting minute, applicants have to discuss with BSMI case by case._)
A4. Starting July 3, 2000, a motherboard or an add-on card for Class A product is not controlled by BSMI, therefore for more detailed explanation/information, the importers can contact the 3rd Dept. of BSMI.
Q5. For a low-end audio product, how to distinguish a series application or new application for family products? By Chip-set or functions?
A5. According to the technical meeting minute on April 27, 2000, the audio products can be applied for a series application if they meet the following conditions
To simplify functions
To change mechanical structure
To re-layout PCB
To use second source
The description of C.C.C code 8519.93.00.10, 8527.21.00.00, 8527.29.00.00 don’t cover VCD, CD Player, TV or amplifier used in vehicles. Do they have to conform with BSMI requirement?
