Working closely with health and safety organizations, the FCC and other spectrum authorities around the world have adopted limits for exposure to radio frequency (RF) energy. For devices used closer than 20 cm to the head or body, the limits are given in terms of the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR), which is a measure of radio frequency energy absorbed by the head or body. To learn more, visit our SAR Testing page.
Our expanded testing services include MIL-STD and DO-160 testing capabilities for Northwest EMC customers in Aerospace, Military and Automotive markets.
Taking advantage of existing semi-anechoic chambers, addition of anterior rooms, high powered amplifiers, antennas, and transient equipment at our testing lab in Oregon, we are now able to offer 200V/m from 10kHz to 40GHz. Our Washington lab will begin offering this capability coming this summer.
For automotive testing customers, our Irvine, California facility now provides a place to develop and test products prior to obtaining specific approvals at an Automotive EMC Laboratory Recognition Program (AEMCLRP) approved laboratory.
